Curbside Pickup

Waste Management offers MB Customers up to three free At-Home Sharps Safe Disposal Kits per year. Each container above three per resident shall cost no more than $27.50 per container. Customers can contact Waste Management customer service to order their kits, and a WM representative will deliver it to your door. Then, fill it with sharps, and mail it back using the pre-paid postage included in the kit. Please make sure to fill out the enclosed form in each kit

Waste Management offers locking bin service for an additional $9.15 per bin per month. Contact Customer Service for more information or to enroll in this program..

 

Both single and multi-family residents are entitled to up to three free bulky item pick-ups per year.  You may place three bulky items out at the curb for each pick-up on your regular service day. 

Acceptable Bulky Waste Items

• furniture, appliances, electronic equipment (e-waste), tires, car motor parts, wood waste, tree branches, scrap wood, rock, sod and earth, clothing

Unacceptable Bulky Waste Items

• household hazardous waste (such as paint, oil and batteries), spas, piano, camper shells, cast iron bathtubs, items requiring more than two persons to safely handle

Bulky items cannot exceed eight feet in length, four feet in width or be more than 150 pounds. Please contact WM customer service at least 48 hours in advance of your regular service day to schedule the pickup.

All customers are entitled to free and unlimited green waste pickup.

Do not place larger pieces of wood waste, tree trunks and branches into your cart. Green waste should be in bundles no larger than 2 feet in diameter, 4 feet in length and no more than 50 pounds in weight. Place wood waste next to the green waste container for pick up.

Place no Yucca or Palm, Ice plant, dirt, rock, trash, food, construction debris or animal waste in the green waste container.

Put all green waste in the green cart.

 

For at least 6 months, Waste Management will conduct a complimentary food waste recycling pilot for residential and commercial customers.

Our At Your Door Special Collection provides you with unlimited front-porch service to remove the difficult, sometimes hazardous and hard-to-recycle items almost every household accumulates.

If not handled properly, hazardous waste materials may be hazardous to people, pets and the environment.   Thanks to our vast infrastructure and partnerships, we are able to recycle as much as 75% of all items collected, reclaiming valuable resources for the benefit of your community and the environment.

Acceptable Hazardous Waste Items

• pesticides
• household chemicals
• sharps
• electronic waste
• fluorescent lamps
• automotice waste products (including oil)
• paints and paint thinners

How it Works

Call WM customer service and set up a pickup date. It is not necessary for you to be at home at that time. You will be mailed a collection kit for the waste. It includes a bag, labels, simple instructions, and a zip tie for closing the bag.

Collect your household’s hazardous waste in the bag and place it on the front porch or near the garage. Multi-family participants can designate a safe place at their building where the waste can be collected (never at the curb).

On the established pickup date, a WM at Your Door technician will arrive, remove the waste, and safely contain it in our specially designed trucks.  Once the waste is collected Waste Management technicians work to responsibly manage the waste and recycle as much as possible.
